our building is open!

The West Isle Presbyterian Church Session has been meeting regularly to review the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, with respect to the timing, protocols, and safe re-opening of our church facilities for indoor Sunday Worship services and weekly fellowship hall use by other approved groups. After careful consideration of pertinent guidelines and evolving best practices, and assuming the appropriate preparations of seating, cleaning services, and supplies, WIPC Session has agreed to re-open our doors.

This decision has not been made lightly, and was done with the utmost consideration of the health and safety of our entire congregation, outside user groups, and the diverse opinions of what constitutes a “safe” re-opening. Out of consideration of others, the use of masks is strongly encouraged, but will not be required. We will make every effort to separate masked and unmasked participants during worship services, and to maintain safe social distancing of 6+ feet before, during, and after worship service.

Additional details of our “WIPC Re-Opening Protocols” for Worship Service and Outside User Groups can be found in the document linked below. We encourage all to review and please follow these protocols going forward. WIPC Session will continue to monitor our state and local COVID-19 virus conditions and revise our protocols accordingly, up to and including immediate shut down of our facility if needed.

For those who need to stay home or prefer not to enter the church building, we will continue to record our worship services and post a video of the weekly service on our website.

We are blessed by our Lord to have such supportive and creative members.

Thank You,

The West Isle Presbyterian Church Session
