Considering the continued positive developments in the battle against the CoVid virus, WIPC Session recently met to discuss revising our most recent CoVid protocols (dated June 5, 2020). These developments include the widespread availability of vaccines, the large number of people vaccinated, and the significant, continued trend of reduced case numbers both locally and nationwide.
This includes greeters/ushers without masks, normal seating and relaxed social distancing measures, elimination of attendance lists, resumption of Children’s Sunday School, the return of pew bibles and hymnals, the passing of the tithes and offerings, and resumption of all Fellowship Hall activities. Communion shall continue using pre-packaged supplies until they run out. Use of our facilities by outside user groups may also return to normal “pre-CoVid” protocols.
As always, if you are ill or have experienced any symptoms, mild or severe, or have been in contact with other people that have symptoms, we ask that you stay home and watch the services online. We also encourage anyone with underlying health conditions or any concerns whatsoever to please manage your risks accordingly and/or wear a mask if you prefer. Hand sanitizer, tissues, and no-touch trash cans will continue to be available throughout the sanctuary.
WIPC Session wishes to thank everyone for their cooperation during the trying times of the CoVid pandemic. We will continue monitoring developments of the CoVid virus and will revise our protocols accordingly in the best interest of the health and safety of our church family.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
